Namma Metro

    Namma Metro (is a kannada word means "Our Metro"), also known as Bengaluru Metro, is a metro system serving the city of Bangalore, it is a pride of Bengaluru. The project is taken care by BMRCL(Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Ltd) and it's joint venture of State Government of Karnataka and Indian Government.BMRCL completed the phase-1 in june 2017, and it is now working on phase-2.

    Namma Metro is presently running on two direction East-West(Baiyappanahalli-Mysuru Road) and North-South(Nagasandra-Yelachenahalli). The East-West is called as Purple line and North-South is called as Green line. Purple line covers 17 metro stations within 33 mins, Green line covers 24 metro stations within 44 mins. Namma Metro runs using 750V DC power, the power line parallel to the metro tracks. Kempe Gowda Metro station, Majestic is the interchange metro station where both metro lines crosses, this the big underground metro station in India. BMTC(Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation) aimed at providing good connectivity between metro stations and neighbourhood around them, so they are running metro feeder buses for the metro commuters.
